





Interserve Construction requested Lithos’ assistance to enable discharge of planning conditions associated with construction of a new divisional police headquarters in Leeds. The site had formerly been occupied by Leeds Greyhound Racing Track, and more recently had been used for match-day car parking for Leeds United.
Initially Lithos acted as the independent Qualified Person to review the Materials Management Plan, produced on behalf of Interserve in accordance with the CL:AIRE Development Industry Code of Practice (The Definition of Waste). Subsequently, Lithos prepared a Remediation Strategy based on the review of various third party ground investigation reports, and liaised with Leeds City Council to gain approval of the Strategy.
Finally, Lithos produced a Verification Report to comply with the requirements of the planning permission and the CL:AIRE Code of Practice. Remediation works covered by the Verification Report included:
